Student Projects, Publications, Internships, Apprenticeships, and Jobs put Ditch on the map.

As a part of our program, we mandate that each student choose a "passion project" or Ikigai that can be used in the real world.

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that brings four powerful ideas together in one word. It’s the intersection of what you love, what you’re good at, what can grow into meaningful work, and what makes a positive impact on the world.

Think of it as a real-life project aligned with your deeper purpose. Your Ikigai is something you genuinely enjoy, something you excel at, and something that has the potential to evolve into a profession, business, or calling.

Most importantly, it’s proof that you don’t have to wait until adulthood to make a meaningful difference. You can create impact now, at a real-world scale, while building something that sets you apart in every future opportunity, including college applications.
